# UCTS and Incyber Technology Present the Quantum Encryption Standard (QES) at International Conference on Information Systems Security
The University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS), in collaboration with Incyber Technology Malaysia, successfully presented its joint research initiative on the Quantum Encryption Standard (QES) at the International Scientific-Practical Conference “Security of Information Systems Resources”, held in Chernihiv, Ukraine.
The project, co-led by Dr. Bakri Madon of UCTS and the research team at Incyber Technology, introduced a breakthrough concept in the field of quantum-resistant cryptography, highlighting how QES encryption can serve as a new benchmark for secure communication systems across governmental, financial, and defense sectors.
# Revolutionizing Data Protection through Quantum-Resistant Algorithms
The presentation titled “Implementation of the QES Encryption Standard to Ensure the Security of Information Systems” explored the limitations of traditional encryption in the era of quantum computing and proposed QES as a forward-looking solution.
The QES framework integrates post-quantum mathematical constructs, hardware-level key management, and AI-assisted cryptanalysis defense-ensuring resilience against both classical and quantum attacks.
“The QES standard is more than just an encryption protocol — it’s a framework for secure digital governance. It offers Malaysia and its partners a trusted, sovereign foundation for data protection, secure communication, and AI-driven intelligence systems.”
# Global Recognition and Future Development
The Chernihiv conference gathered leading researchers, cybersecurity experts, and defense technology developers from Europe and Asia. The UCTS–Incyber presentation was recognized as one of the most promising research initiatives, demonstrating practical readiness for national deployment and cross-border cybersecurity collaboration.
Following the event, both institutions announced plans to establish a joint cryptography research laboratory in Malaysia to further enhance QES implementation and explore integration with emerging technologies such as IoT encryption, blockchain authentication, and quantum key distribution.
